Art is something I have always loved doing. I would like to create designs that the public are able to see, catching their attention, something that stands out from the rest. I feel that colour is important when designing because a good design needs to make you look twice and in my opinion colour does this.
I have also come to realise that art is a way of expressing a mood, a feeling and each design or piece of design has its own story to tell.
Lately I have been using Radim Malinic, Tim Marrs and Matei Apostelesu as inspiration, all there work is completely different but there are different aspects from each person that I like and try to incorporate into my own work.
I like using mixed media techniques, building up layers and not always been sure on the outcome and if something goes wrong you try again on top of that and usually it ends up looking better and less original. My particular favorite technique to use is the cellulose thinner. I really like the grungy, worn effect that it gives, it is very vintage looking. When I’m working on a project, I usually start off with the research, then start practicing  different suitable techniques, then I gather together which pieces blend well or that I think will look good together, I then make my final piece in Photoshop. I do this because I think it gives it a more professional look and Photoshop gives you many more tools which a person is unable to do and keep the work at such a standard.
